In Loving Memory of Sean Daniel McCarthy
February 18, 1967 – August 25, 2026
Atlanta, Georgia
Obituary & Remembrance
Sean Daniel McCarthy passed away on August 25, 2026, after a courageous health journey over the past couple of years, leaving behind a legacy of profound devotion and entrepreneurial success. Raised in Arlington, Massachusetts, Sean graduated from Arlington High School before continuing his education at Northeastern University and Merrimack College, where he earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management.
With his degree as a foundation, Sean went on to open and build his own highly successful business, marking years of thriving entrepreneurship driven by his strong work ethic and ambition. An athlete throughout his school years and beyond, Sean excelled on the field playing both college football and baseball. His passion for athletics remained lifelong—he was an avid fan of his New England sports teams, rarely far from his flatscreen on Football Sunday, and spent countless hours on the phone with his brother, Michael, debating and analyzing every game.
Above all else, Sean’s children, Sienna and Mason, were the absolute light of his life. He carried his boundless devotion for them through his final days, immensely proud of the talented, kind, and smart individuals they have become. Nothing brought him greater happiness than spending sun-filled days in the pool with his kids and traveling to create unforgettable memories with his family.
Sean is reunited in peace with his loving parents, Marilyn E. McCarthy and John M. McCarthy, who predeceased him. He is survived by his cherished children, Sienna and Mason; his former spouse, Stephanie McCarthy, and her partner, Jeff, whose incredible generosity of time, energy, and care during the final stages of his illness were a deeply appreciated comfort; his loving in-laws, Peg and Bill, whose steadfast support was a huge kindness; his loving sister, Corinne Brisbois of Boxborough, Massachusetts; his brother, Michael McCarthy of Arlington, Massachusetts; his much-loved nieces and nephews; as well as extended family, friends, and colleagues who will always remember his quiet strength, steady guidance, and well-meaning heart.
Services & Memorial
Sean will be interred privately. A celebration of life will be planned at a later date to honor his memory and bring loved ones together.
