Ch(Col) Richard Hall, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and esteemed member of the community, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 23, 2026, at the age of 76. Born on March 11, 1950, in Portsmouth, Virginia, Richard was a resident of Douglasville, Georgia, where he lived a life full of service, love, and dedication.
Richard's life was marked by his unwavering commitment to his faith, family, and country. He proudly served over 25 years as a Chaplain in the United States Air Force, after initially being drafted into the Army as a Medic during the Vietnam War. His dedication to his country was matched by his devotion to his faith, as he was an active member of the United Pentecostal Church International in which he held a ministerial license for 48 years.
A man of remarkable intellect, Richard held five master's degrees and a doctorate, reflecting his lifelong passion for learning and teaching. His career as a Chaplain allowed him to touch countless lives, offering guidance, support, and compassion to those in need.
Richard was a man of many interests. He was an avid fisherman and golfer, and he loved to travel, exploring new places and cultures with his beloved wife of 56 years, Patricia A. Hall. Together, they built a beautiful family, raising three daughters, Kristi (Wendell) Brock, Kim (Brent) Norusis, and Kaycee (Drew) Hammann, who blessed them with seven grandchildren: Kailyn (Adam) Bartelt, Jordan Horenziak, Dr. Tyler Brock, Ashton Horenziak, Tanner Brock, PFC Zane Hammann, and A1C Lee Hammann, and two great-grandchildren, Ricky and Grace Bartelt.
Richard is also survived by his brother Doug (Nancy) Hall, sisters Dru (Lee) Wetzel and Cheryl (Ronnie) Bailey, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Corbett Edward Hall and Drucilla Bell Hall, and his daughter, Kim Norusis.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Ch(Col) Hall's honor to the Imagine Campaign (Building Fund) at www.awpc.org/giving.
Ch(Col) Richard Hall's legacy of love, service, and faith will continue to inspire all who knew him. He will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by his family, friends, and all those whose lives he touched.
