Peggy Sellers Brassell, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 26, 2025, at the age of 77. Born in Austell, GA, on October 21, 1947, Peggy was a cherished member of the Douglasville community, known for her warm heart and vibrant spirit.
Peggy was a dedicated baker at Publix, where she shared her love for creating delicious treats with her colleagues and customers. Her passion for baking was matched only by her love for coloring, a hobby that brought her immense joy and relaxation. Peggy also enjoyed spending time with loved ones, often going out for lunch and shopping, creating cherished memories with those she held dear.
She is survived by her loving daughter, Pamela Bryant, and her adored grandchildren, Brooke (Brandon) Smith and Hope (Chris) Norman. Peggy was also a proud great-grandmother to six great-grandchildren, who brought light and laughter into her life. She is fondly remembered by Robert Hamlin, who was like a son to her, as well as Tim McDonald, Kathy Owens, and numerous nieces, nephews, family members, and friends.
Peggy was preceded in death by her parents, Harley and Callie Faye Sellers, and her siblings, Horace Cox, Gerald Sellers, and Pearline Thompson. Though they have passed, their memories and love remained a guiding force in her life.
Arrangements for Peggy Sellers Brassell have been entrusted to Roy Davis Funeral Home, where family and friends will gather to celebrate her life and legacy. Peggy's warmth, kindness, and zest for life will be deeply missed by all who knew her, but her spirit will live on in the hearts of those she touched.
