Mary Jennings

Mary Jennings, 75 of Powder Springs, passed away at home on Sunday, June 27, 2021. She was born in Atlanta on May 31, 1946, the daughter of Ira and Thelma Billingsley. She married Robert Jennings on July 14, 1964 and they spent 43 years together before his death in 2007. Mary enjoyed cooking, reading, gardening, being outdoors, and watching Wheel of Fortune. She was a member of Poplar Springs Baptist Church. Most of all, she loved taking care of her family and believed that raising two fine sons was her greatest accomplishment. Mary is survived by her sons, David Jennings and George Jennings; two grandsons, George Franklin Jennings and Thomas Nathan Jennings; her sister, Ira Mae Humphries; several nieces, nephews, other family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her siblings, Pat Miller, Martha Rose Barkey and John Alvin Billingsley. A memorial service will be held at 7:00 pm, Thursday, July 1, at Roy Davis Funeral Home.
