Marlene Sylvia Montalbano

Marlene Sylvia Montalbano, age 85, passed away on Monday, October 26, 2026.

Marlene was born on July 18, 1941, in Chickamauga, Georgia, to the late Thomas Cecil Pirkle and Mary Frances Black Pirkle.

Marlene was a coupon shopper in the truest sense, and she took real pride in a good deal. She and her late husband, Joe Montalbano, Jr., loved to travel, and together they sailed all over the world on 27 cruises.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Montalbano, Jr., and her parents.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Marc Montalbano and Betty Graham; her brother, Doug Pirkle; her granddaughter, Ashlee Montalbano; and her great-grandchildren, Natalee Smith, Ellee Smith, and Callee Lester.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, November 4, 2026, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at Roy Davis Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, November 5, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Georgia National Cemetery, 1080 Scott Hudgens Drive, Canton, Georgia 30114. Those planning to attend the graveside service are asked to arrive at the cemetery by 10:30 a.m.
