Linda Gray

Linda Maria Gray, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 2nd, 2025, at the age of 78. Born on Tuesday, October 8th, 1946, in Atlanta, Georgia, Linda was a cherished resident of Marietta, GA, where she spent her life surrounded by family and friends.

Linda was preceded in death by her loving parents, Robert and Lillian Blackmon, her devoted husband of 60 years, Chester W. Gray Sr., her children Christie Gray and Chet Gray, and her brother Bobby Mann. She is survived by her daughter, Lorie (Nakia) Bennett, four grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, her sister Lynette (Ron) Kennedy and numerous other family members and friends who will miss her dearly.

A dedicated and compassionate registered nurse, Linda graduated from the Georgia Baptist Hospital Nursing Academy in 1967. She spent her career caring for others at WellStar Cobb, where her kindness and professionalism touched the lives of many.

Linda was a woman of faith, attending Chattahoochee First Baptist Church up until she couldn't. She found joy in the simple pleasures of life, such as spending summers by the pool, swimming, and playing with her grandchildren. Her warmth and love for her family were evident in every moment she spent with them.

Linda Maria Gray will be remembered for her unwavering love, her dedication to her family and profession, and her gentle, caring nature. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
