John W. (Jake) Griffin, Jr.

John W. (Jake) Griffin, Jr.,87 of East Point, died Thursday, June 11, 2009. He is survived by his wife, Estelle Griffin; son, Donnie and wife Debbie Griffin of Lithia Springs; daughters, Martha Morris of East Point, Joyce Kirk of Atlanta and Vickie Griffin of East Point; brothers, H.A. (Lef) and wife Thelma Griffin of Monroe and Jack and wife Eva Griffin of Monticello; grandsons, Chris Kirk, Allen Farmer and Jeff Griffin; 5 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Griffin retired from Peachtree Center as a Security Officer. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in World War II.
