J.C. Peavy, age 87 of Mableton, died Saturday, November 9, 2013 at his residence surrounded by his loving family.He was born on July 28, 1926 to the late John and Janie Mae Peavy in Atlanta, GA.He is survived by his wife, Virginia Johns Peavy; daughters, Barbara Anne Dunton of Mableton, Lynn Fuller of Cumming, Becky Hodnett of Wake Forrest, NC, Ginger Edwards of Hiram; one sister, 7 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Funeral Service will be held 2:00 pm, Monday, November 11, 2013 at Roy Davis Funeral Home with Pastor Randall Whitten officiating.Interment, Sunrise Memorial Gardens.The family will receive friends on Sunday evening from 5 pm until 8 pm at the funeral home. In addition to being an army veteran, he was also a short distance truck driver during his working career.He will be greatly missed by his family who he cherished dearly.
