Columbia SC., Larry Shumpert of Lumberton, and her Sister Deidra Chance of Lumberton.
Also, survived by her Children; Tera Banta (Eric) of Cartersville, Ga., and Brian David Roper (Mandy) of

Gloria Faye was the very proud Grandmother of Six grandchildren and the Great-Grandmother of Four
great-grandchildren also of Cartersville and Macon, Ga. Faye always enjoyed time with her children and
grandchildren.
Faye was a graduate of Lumberton High School and known for her “pretty face”, beautiful eyes, radiate
smile, and captivating personality. Faye was truly photogenic. Faye loved to dance and go to the beach.
Faye’s favorite dance was doing the “shag” to beach music.
In 1994 Faye began a lifestyle devoted to Bible Study and teaching God’s Word to which she remained
steadfastly committed till her home going to be Forever with her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ! Faye
would often hand write entire books of the Bible with in-depth word explanations and meanings. Faye
cross-referenced scripture with contextual accuracy as God honored her profound Faith in the leading of
God’s Holy Spirit to guide and teach her. Faye often said her love for Jesus began as she faithfully
attended North Lumberton Baptist Church and later Tabernacle Baptist Church in Lumberton with her
dear daddy Ralph and mother Mildred. Faye was a faithful member of Fellowship of Faith Church in
Atlanta. Faye was baptized at Trinity Baptist church in Smyrna and Trinity Baptist is also where Gloria
Faye and Sam were married on November 10, 1994. Faye loved to sing traditional Baptist songs and
knew most every song “by heart” and even the last week of her life, Faye was still singing as unto the
Lord!
Faye loved to be outdoors and one of her favorite spots was relaxing in her barn, which she helped to
build. She often talked to lizards, birds, butterflies, and deer, even “Nate the snake”. You would hear
her say “hello baby”. Faye had an eye for 4-leaf clovers and collected well over 900 before she stopped
keeping count. Faye loved her fish pond, big bonfires, and her cypress log Cabin with the wood burning
stove. Faye also loved her pickup truck and going for a drive anytime, especially going out West to hike,
camp, and snow ski at Steamboat Springs where she learned to ski and mastered black diamond runs
and skiing “thru the trees”.
Gloria Faye was an innovative and creative cook baking southern cornbread dressing, ole fashioned fruit
cakes, making walnut pies, chicken-cheese enchiladas, and frying catfish. She was a wonderful host to
all who came to her “one room” cabin. Faye maintained “the home front” keeping everything in order
with her focus on “attention to details” in everything she did.(Colossians 3;17,21). Gloria Faye said the
cabin is “where God Planted me in 1994, and that’s where I want to be when He calls me home to
Heaven”. God honored her prayer when she peacefully went to Heaven Forever, while in her cabin.
Gloria Faye Saliba lived a life always being the “sunshine” for others and speaking Faith filled words of
encouragement and blessings. Faye “was very Attentive”, Always “enthusiastically Involved”, therein
“Lightening everyone’s load.” Faye always said “I grew up in the best of times”, and “Cold water is the
best drink in the universe, because it is the only drink God made”. The Faithful Prayers of Gloria Faye
and her Christ-like Spirit will be missed, and remembered by everyone.
“Joy of My Desire, Gloria Faye Saliba….There will Never, Never, be a Friend So Dear to me”! ALWAYS
and FOREVER ; Your Devoted Husband, sam….2nd Corinthians 7 : 16.
“And there are also many other things that Gloria Faye Saliba did, which if they were written one by one
I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that would be written.” Amen.
