Gary Victor

December 22, 1947 — June 21, 2025

Gary Victor, born on December 22, 1947, in Portales, New Mexico, passed away peacefully on June 21, 2025. He was a proud veteran as a member of the Marine Corps. He loved God, his country, family, friends, karaoke and his bourbon!

Gary was very athletic and loved baseball and snow skiing. He was an early prodigy of computer programming back when computers were the size of (in his words) the Chase Manhattan Bank. He was a visionary with ambitious dreams, and tried his hand on several self employment ventures including Real Estate, computer programming, Stone work, and many others.

As a member of the American Legion Post 264, his zeal for life was evident in his love for dancing and singing classic country hits, as he hosted karaoke events as a Karaoke Jock (KJ). He shared countless hours of joy and laughter with friends and family alike. Many treasured memories were made through his desire to have fun and enjoy life to the fullest.

He leaves behind a loving family, including his children: Donna Vanlandingham, Jamie (Stanley) Brickhouse, and Jared Victor. His legacy continues through five beloved grandchildren: Juston (Taylor) Vanlandingham, Sunny (Anthony ) Drerup, Kenedi (Ben) Dunleavy, Caden Victor, and Cody Brickhouse. He also leaves behind five great-grandchildren: Harley, Jasper and Lilli Vanlandingham, Aubrey and Gaven Drerup, each carrying a piece of his spirit within them. Gary also cherished his life partner, Kim Kaseta, who stood by his side while enjoying all that life had to offer them.

Gary was preceded in death by his parents, Jimmie and Janie Victor, and his siblings, Jimmy Victor, Gene Victor, and Sue Beasley, as well as his son-in-law Cary Vanlandingham. Their memories will continue to resonate in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

As we remember Gary Victor, let us celebrate a life lived fully, rich with friendship, family, and a passion for bringing people together through music and laughter. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
