Dorothy Ross Scott, a loving and caring mother, devoted friend, and cherished member of her family, passed away on September 10, 2025, at the age of 75. Born on December 25, 1949, in Marysville, Tennessee, Dorothy exemplified warmth and kindness that touched the hearts of everyone fortunate enough to know her.

Throughout her life, Dorothy enjoyed many simple pleasures. She adored her dog, Peanut, and took great joy in her daily routines, which included watching Judge Judy, indulging in her passion for reading, shopping, and getting her hair done. Her personality radiated love, inviting family and friends to bask in the warmth of her presence.

Dorothy was the beloved mother of Carol (Michael) Vliek and Joseph Scott Jr., and she took immense pride in being a grandmother to her nine grandchildren. Her relationships with her family were the cornerstone of her life, filled with laughter, love, and countless cherished moments.

She is also survived by her brother Fred Ross, along with several other family members and friends who will carry her memory in their hearts. Dorothy was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 37 years, Joseph Scott Sr.; her son, Michael Osborne, who tragically passed at birth; her brother, David Ross; and her parents, Fred Ross and Edna Anderson Ross.

A graveside service to honor her life and legacy will be held on September 12, 2025, at Mount Harmony Memorial Gardens in Mableton, Georgia, starting at 11:00 AM. Dorothy Ross Scott will be remembered for her unwavering love and the joy she brought into the lives of those she knew. Her spirit will live on through the lives she touched and the love she shared.
