It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved matriarch, Donis Fay Bragg, who made her journey to heaven on August 28, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Her presence was a gift to all who knew her, and the outpouring of love and support from friends and family over the past weeks has been a testament to the profound impact she had on our lives. Donis was a remarkable storyteller and peacemaker, embodying the true meaning of unconditional love. She was a guiding light in our lives. Her ability to light up any room, uplift our spirits, and bring joy even in difficult times is a legacy we will carry with us forever.
She is survived by her loving daughters Deborah (Bill) Milewski of Acworth, Denise (Richie) Blevins of Dallas, Dana (Larry) Hesler of Temple. Her grandchildren Nick Milewski, Lindsey Bragg, Lauren Link (Jourdan), Patrick Hesler, Tyler Blevins, Haley Kemperle. Great grandchildren Victoria House, Wrenley Kemperle, Marley Bero, Skye Hesler, and Miles Link. And great great grandchildren, Annaleigh House, Hadley House, and Jaxen House, as well as her brother Jimmy (Ramona) Shelton.
She was strong, resilient, funny, and honest qualities that endeared her to everyone she met. As one of the most influential figures in our lives, she played a vital role in shaping who we are today. Though we mourn her absence, we find solace in knowing that she has been reunited with her loved ones, including her husband, Walter David W.D Bragg, her son David Lanier Bragg, and her dear grandson Shannon Fields House, and her 8 siblings.
Donis leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories that will continue to resonate in our hearts. We are forever grateful for the time we shared with her and the indelible mark she left on our lives. Rest in peace our dear Mama, Nanny, Great Nanny. You will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
