Donald David West

Donald David West, age 76, of Powder Springs, GA, passed away peacefully on July 1, 2025, at Tranquility Care Hospice in Austell, GA. David was a proud husband, father, brother and grandfather. He was born on March 19, 1949, in Atlanta, GA to Johnny Warren and Mary (Sizemore) West and they preceded him in death. David married Belinda Diane English, she passed on August 2, 2015.

David lived a life filled with love and devotion to his family and friends. He was the owner and operator of West Roofing for over 40 years. He was a member of the Sons of the American Legion for many years. His hobbies included playing Santa Clause and handing out toys to underprivileged children. He had the talent to sing karaoke, some of his favorite songs were by George Jones, Conway Twitty and numerous Gospel songs.

Beyond his immeasurable talents, he was most proud of watching his son, Keith and grandson Kannon race cars.

Surviving are his 3 children, 2 daughters, Lisa Bailey, Mableton, GA, Stacey (Hershel) Edmonds, Ft. Myers, FL, son Keith (Jaclyn) West, Powders Springs, GA., sister, Debbie West and a brother Earl West. Also surviving are 10 grandchildren, Rodger Lamb, Breanna Mize, Justin McManus, Taylor Edmonds, Tyler Edmonds, Corey West, Jordan West, Kagen West, Paislee West and Kannon West, Great Grandchildren, Lillian Lamb, Kace Lamb, Mia Edmonds, Ellie Dienst, Colt Edmonds, Connor Dienst, Rosemary Richardson, Magnolia Mize, Owen Mize, Oliver Mize and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Robert West, Sonny West, Helen Brown, Ann Schoolcraft and Joyce Ray.

Funeral services will be held on Monday July 7, 2025, 1:00 PM at Roy Davis Funeral Home, 5935 Mulberry Street Austell, GA. 770-948-2552. Officiating, Rev. Troy Hall. Visitation will be on Sunday, July 6, 2025, from 2:00 – 5:00 PM at the Funeral Home. Interment will follow services at Sunrise Garden of Memories, 11261 Douglasville, GA 30134.
