Darrell Thomas Dale

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Darrell Thomas Dale, a beloved father, grandfather, brother, and friend. Darrell was born on Sunday, August 13th, 1950, in Crawfordville, Georgia, and peacefully departed this life on Sunday, January 11th, 2026, in Carrollton, Georgia, where he resided.

Darrell was a dedicated and hardworking individual, spending many years as a forklift operator at Hormel. His entrepreneurial spirit led him to start his own business, D&E Waste Management. Known for his love of a good meal and his passion for football, Darrell was an avid supporter of the Georgia Bulldogs. He cherished time spent with his family, whether it was enjoying a game show, laughing at comedies like the Three Stooges, or watching classic westerns such as Gunsmoke.

Darrell is survived by his loving daughters, Alicia McNair (Ron) and Amanda Dale (Kenneth Z. Bray), all of Carrollton; his cherished grandchildren, Dakota McNair, Kayla Simonds, and Shelby Dale; his great-granddaughter, Arabella-May Simonds; and his siblings, Cissy Casey (Wayne) and Terry Dale, all of Douglasville. He also leaves behind his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Terry Victor Fields, Jerry Carlton Fields, Charles Anthony Fields, and Tammie Renee Fields, along with many nieces, nephews, and a host of extended family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard Otis Dale and Sara Viola Mathews Dale, and his beloved spouse, Edna Mae Fields Dale.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during a visitation at Roy Davis Funeral Home in Austell, GA, on Tuesday, January 13th, 2026, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

A funeral service to honor and celebrate Darrell's life will be held at the Roy Davis Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, January 14th, 2026, at 2:00 pm. Interment will follow at Sunrise Garden of Memories, Douglasville, GA, with the following family members serving as pallbearers: Eric Fields, Terry Fields, Jerry Fields, Andy Fields, Jason Cook, Dakota McNair, and Ron McNair.

Darrell's legacy of love, laughter, and dedication will be fondly remembered by all who knew him.
