Carolyn Jevene Nelson

Carolyn Jevene Williams Nelson passed away peacefully on November 25, 2025, in Carrollton, Ga, at 93 years of age. She was born to John 'Burley' and Juanita 'Mott' Nelson on July 26, 1932.

She was a beloved sister, wife, mother and grandmother. As a homemaker, she enjoyed being creative and loved decorating. Fiercely independent, she enjoyed playing the occasional game of Bingo and loved to sip on a cocktail while sitting on her porch watching the sun go down. One of her greatest attributes was that she cared for her family very deeply.

Carolyn is preceded in death by her husband of almost 50 years, Julian Nelson, her parents, siblings John D. Williams, Jr., Charles Williams, Pansy Stewart, and a granddaughter, Krystal Clark.

She leaves behind her two children, Leland Kent (Scott Pettyjohn) Nelson and Gregory Keith Nelson, grandson, Matthew Nelson and three great-grandchildren Rachel Clark, Rebecca Clark and Julian Nelson. She is also survived by many other family and friends.
