Anthony "Tony" Gordon Jenkins

Anthony "Tony" Gordon Jenkins, a beloved resident of Powder Springs, GA, passed away on Monday, August 24th, 2026, at the age of 72, surrounded by family. Born on Sunday, August 8th, 1954, in Atlanta, Georgia, Tony lived a life full of passion, dedication, and love for his family and community.

Tony was a devoted truck driver for over 36 years, proudly serving with the United States Postal Service (USPS) toward the end of his career. A man of varied interests, Tony had a deep appreciation for music, particularly gospel and old country tunes. He was an avid fan of John Wayne movies and old westerns, finding joy and nostalgia in their timeless stories. Tony's enthusiasm for NASCAR and the Atlanta Braves was well-known among his friends and family, as was his passion for classic cars, especially Chevrolets, which he swore by and drove exclusively.

Tony was preceded in death by his father, Avery Jenkins, and grandson, Jakob Thompson. Survivors include his wife, Ena Beauford Jenkins; children, Jennifer (Aaron) Thompson and James (Nikki) Vaughn; grandchildren, Kris Jackson, Jessica Krieger, Samantha Rowell, Anthony Bentley, Rena Vaughn, and Jonathan Wallace; as well as four great grandchildren.

Family, friends, and those whose lives Tony touched are invited to celebrate his life at a funeral service on Thursday, August 27th, 2026, at 1:00 pm at Roy Davis Funeral Home in Austell, GA. Prior to the service, a visitation will be held at the same location from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm, providing an opportunity for loved ones to gather, share memories, and offer support to one another.

Interment will follow the service at 3:30pm at Sunrise Gardens of Memories, Douglasville, GA.

Tony's legacy will live on in the hearts of those who knew him, and his memory will be cherished forever.

The Jenkins family has entrusted the arrangements to Roy Davis Funeral Home, Austell, GA.
