Sibyl loved her life, she was wife, mother, and grandmother, and great grandmother, all titles she held proudly, and loved dearly. She enjoyed spending time with her friends, playing golf and bridge. Sybil loved to travel and took many memorable trips with her family and friends, she was fun loving, silly, and everything you could want in a friend. She will be greatly missed. Sibyl is survived by her husband of 71 years, Claude. Children; Kim Wheeler (Gary) Smith, and Blane Wheeler. One grandchild, Kale (Jessica) Jenkins. Two great grandchildren, Micah Fletcher, and Jacob Fletcher. The family will hold a Memorial Service at Concord Baptist Church on Sunday, January 31, 2021. In lieu of flowers, the family wishes to have donations made to the following charitable causes- The Concord Baptist Church Benevolence Fund. These donations go toward the church’s community outreach and food for the hungry. All checks can be made out to Concord Baptist Church. On the memo section, donors can write “Benevolence” OR “In Memory of Sibyl Wheeler”. Donations can be mailed to: Concord Baptist Church 4494 Floyd Rd. SW Mableton, GA 30126 ATTN: Benevolence Chair The second available option is called the Gold Shield Foundation. This group serves those in need that work in Public Safety to include Law Enforcement, Fire, and EMS. Sibyl’s grandson spent 10 years serving in Fire & EMS. Mrs. Wheeler loved and appreciated a servant’s heart. This charity provides multiple types of support to members of the aforementioned public service community that may have been injured, had to take extended leave, or be in any type of situation where extra help is warranted. Donations may be given via the Gold Shield’s website at http://goldshieldfoundation.org/#. When visiting the site, look for the “Donate Now” link/page. This will enable anyone to give safely and securely. Any and all donations to either fund are greatly appreciated by the family and will serve a wonderful cause near and dear to Sibyl’s loving heart.
